blink. you sit for your o levels. blink. you enter a junior college. blink. you leave the junior college. blink. you sit for your a levels.

it seems like just yesterday when i was still wearing my old vs uniform which is really small and tight now by the way. i stepped into this new school uncertain of what kind of people i might meet, whether i might be staying or going to another junior college after the first three months, whether the school was any good at all. i'm quite sure that everyone else in the school was feeling the same way.

then in the blink of an eye its all over. just like that.

today was officially the last day for us j2s in meridian junior college. an emotional day for us all i have to say. i came to school feeling as i would for any other day. or at least i tried to make myself feel that way. the day started off with the singing of the national anthem and then our school song. it isnt that bad actually. sounds like a national day kinda song. but still nothing beats the victorian anthem. then we headed to lt4 for our farewell assembly. esther lai gave a short but touching speech. she's really not that bad. then they screened this video of the memorable events from last year. it really brought back many fond memories. i was reminded of the times when i'd skip lectures to crash other jcs. i was reminded of the time when the guys would just sing and dance in the canteen lik noone's business. i was reminded of the time when some good friends had to leave mj cause of their o level results. i was reminded of the time when us guys would conquer almost every concert in school. hell it reminded me of so many things. things that ALMOST made me tear. then there were a few more speeches from a few guys from our batch. it was all good. there was ashiq who talked about the transition from a single sex school to a mixed one. there was shafiq who gave a very light hearted speech about his memories in mj. there was also wen xi with her poem to more or less sum up her time spent in mjc. i'm sure everyone has their fond memories of mjc no matter how much they hate the school. so the speeches were over.

none of us j2s could prepare ourselves for what was gonna happen next. they screened a video that was recorded by the teachers. they talked about how much they would miss us. how much they enjoyed teaching us. then they also wished us luck for our as. the video was just very sincere. very very touching. i cant even start to describe how good the video was. by the time the video ended even hussein who was sitting next to me felt like crying. huzaima's eyes were already starting to well up with tears. after the video presentation ms choo made a short speech. she actually cried while talking. oh man. you can more or less tell how the mood in the lt was like.

so today more or less marks the end of another chapter in my life. i'm not that ready for the next chapter to start. but i cant really do much about it. my time spent here in mjc sure has been full of memories both good and bad. none that i'm willing to part with.

i've met so many great people. people that make it impossible for me to forget them. people i'm sure you cant find anywhere else.

i've been taught by really good teachers. i think that goes without saying. the teachers in mjc are really dedicated. sure sometimes they may seem like bitches or bastards but in the end its just cause they care about us.

all in all i'm glad to say that i enjoyed my time here in this institution. the people here have really made the stay worth while. for whoever out there who ive ever irritated or pissed off i'm really sorry. and for whoever out there who has ever pissed me off you guys are forgiven. i'm gonna miss all of you guys. i'm gonna miss all the funny and stupid stuff that has happened. so with that thanks for everything. thanks to the j2s for being a really awesome batch. the j1s who i know who are just fun larh. well whoever i met in this school surely has some impact on my life even if its very little so thanks once again.

and finally to wrap things up its only a few weeks to our as guys. a few days to our first practical. so hmmmm let me see.. how should i put it.. ah yes..
